I have a slight obsession with pretty bottles of stuff. Mostly the stuff is stuff that smells like heaven and stuff. But either way, they must have pretty bottles. Because everything I own is on display most of the time. So it has to go with my decor & motif! So this time instead of doing individual posts of each thing, I want to tell you a few things that made it on my vanity this week and why all at one time by starting a new category called "Whats On My Vanity?". Welcome to Volume #1!
Boutonniere no7 ARQUISTE Perfume
This is by far one of my favs! Its VERY strong and doesn't need much to be noticed that its on you... And it has an authentic floral fragrance that is unique and haunting. It mixes so well with your skin and when on you opposed to someone else, it smells different every time. And this bottle? Can we say all together.... class.
VOLUSPA: SUADE BLANC room & body mist
This shit right here? CRACKKKKKK. Straight up. I bought this at a store in Santa Monica and I never saw that Voluspa made room sprays that were also body mists. I was looking around and I can honestly say that Voluspa isn't my favorite when it comes to fragrances. They have so many to choose from and their packaging is TO DIE FOR but as far as fragrance goes, I almost like none. But I smelled this bottle and when I picked it up, I noticed it was because of the name and look to it itself alone why I gravitated to it. And when I smelled it I instantly fell in love due to the fact that the fragrance had a feminine AND masculine note to it which is hard to find. It is SO strong and has lasted me FOREVER. Its one of those "a little goes a long fuckin way" type things. And is perfect for when you have to set the mood and quick. Thank me later.
*I added the partner candle to the widget down below for you to try out if you'd like to test it out!*
Vintage Glass Perfume Bottle
So, I like to collect vintage anything most of the time but beauty tools are some of my favs for one reason. BECAUSE- they were once used to make a woman feel beautiful for years on end. This one thing, held a serum that she went to to finalize her routine of becoming beautified. And this bottle in particular was used in the 50's. Imagine what this bottle has seen and been through the last 67 years? The energy that vintage items carry are timeless and powerful. No new substance or material can possess such a feeling... So I collect energies and rolodexes of the past by admiring the age of the items I purchase and of course putting them to good use because they're SO far from being expired of their purpose! Not to mention, the silver platter that the contents of the photo is being displayed on is a gem find that I found for $4 at an estate sale here in San Diego. I had to. And its solid silver! The family just didn't want it. You just have to know where to look! Ill be doing a separate post on my house decor finds very soon and how to get your own :)
KIKO Nail Varnish & Seche Vite Top Coat
This has always been a thing of mine, and thats finding the perfect dark shade of red nail polish. Its almost all I wear. Not just the shade, but the time it dries, the consistency, the price, and how long it lasts. I purchased this Kiko nail polish in Miami at their location on Lincoln Rd. and it was a fucking DOLLAR. One of my favorites and dries SO well. The top coat is a five star line and is used by the best of the best in the beauty industry. It dries FAST and isn't tacky. Has lasting shine and the bottle itself lasts forever. Both are highly recommended! You can find the top coat at Sally's Beauty Supply.
So that concludes todays post of whats on my vanity! I hope you get to purchase and love some of the products on here and if you do, let me know in the comments down below! Or simply tell me whats on YOUR vanity and ill give it a try! Have any vintage finds of your own? I wanna see! Love you all <3 Until tomorrow! xo
