Some of you may not know this, but I had a huge scare with my kidneys a couple years ago that potentially could have taken my life if I waited another 8 hours to take action upon my health. I was in so much pain suddenly that I couldn't walk, or lay down. Couldn't breathe but was hyperventilating. Felt nauseous but my stomach was empty. It was very bad. I had this pain in my back that was spreading like wildfire and it was sensitive to the touch. Come to find out, the E-Coli bacteria was attacking my right kidney and literally eating it away. And fast. I was given aggressive antibiotics that felt like it was making it worse. I was instructed to NOT stop taking them before my prescribed time or I could relapse and end up on dialysis this time around- mind you, I was taking the biggest pills id ever seen, three times a day and this was supposed to go on for 2 fucking weeks. NOT HAPPENING. 3 days in, I couldn't bare the pain anymore and was willing to do anything to get it to stop. Some of you have been following me since the beginning of my blogging journey, and what inspired me to blog more than anything in the beginning was my knowledge on nutrition and health, then along came the late and never forgotten Dr. Sebi who changed my life. I started to think, well hey... If I stop these antibiotics and relapse, then I deserve it in some way because I was told so. BUT- I also am looking in the face of someones knowledge who has cured and reversed diseases much worse than the scare I was given just days before such as AIDS and cancer. So I have nothing to lose if I took a chance, and I went 100% Alkaline and binged on herbal medicines- not to mention I also cut out my antibiotics cold turkey and I'm here today, alive and well (up until just recently) to tell you the story.
Now. The reason I'm writing this today is not to just push out another "Eat well, Live well" post with a recipe. This is real life reality and I want to share it with you so you don't have to or if you currently are going through the troublesome issues of health, I can give you some amazing advice that actually matters and tell you why.
The past year and a half iv been single and running absolutely WILD. For 4 years before that I was in a relationship and very structured with how I lived. I was in a housewife mentality and was also inspired by my then fiancé to eat and live a super healthy lifestyle. It was almost force fed to me and when I left, that ALL changed. I started eating whatever I wanted, doing whatever I wanted, forgetting to drink water because I was so busy working, lost my routine of working out and used the "Im at a young age and can get away with it" excuse to live this way. Iv been a vegetarian for years now and started eating chicken and eggs again to experiment a little bit. Why? WHO FUCKING KNOWS.
Im the type of person where I can be doing something destructive and unhealthy and 1000 people can be telling me "Its going to kill you", "you're going to get fat", "its going to catch up to you, you'll be sorry". And I won't care what they say (ill take some into consideration) but I won't let up until I see the issues come around on my own. I must learn the hard way most of the time or I haven't fully learned the lesson and I will resort to my old ways at some point. And fast. So because I felt heavily influenced by my ex to live a certain way with hardly any let up (which was a good thing for me but I didn't see it then), I found myself doing things I never thought in a million years Id do ever again because I didn't have anyone telling me otherwise. This was healthy experience wise, though it was a matter of time until it became dangerous and risky to my health. Or worse, a series of bad habits that I wouldn't be able to kick.
This lesson came to an end right before my very eyes one afternoon when I felt that familiar ache in my back and abdomen. It made my heart drop to my stomach. And I knew what it was immediately. I recently moved in with my mother to help in the recovery of her recent back surgery, and we were heading downtown to run a few errands and while in the car I could barely breathe. I started to sort of panic, not because of the issue at hand, but because I knew everything I did wrong to get to this point and it was all my own doing. I just couldn't understand why I let it get to that point and why it got so out of hand. When you learn certain things, it isn't like high school where you learn and then soon forget. You can't unlearn certain information, especially when its so close to home for you. So you can't get sick, and be confused as to why you ended up that way, you KNOW why. But the beautiful part is, is if you're educated enough to know why and how you got there, you're also educated enough to know how to fix it most of the time. Thats my case at least. So, thats exactly what happened.
It was either go to the E.R., wait for hours, be told what I already know or even a false diagnosis, be given pharmaceuticals that I know aren't ACTUALLY helping me and aren't getting to the root of the problem but giving me temporary relief, and spend about $300 to probably relapse within weeks or months after the first episode because I didn't change MY habits that got me there to begin with, OR go to Whole Foods, spend $200 on super foods, minerals, and go on a detox RIGHT NOW and start a new chapter with more self knowledge and love than I ever thought id have. I went with option 2. Because I know what the issues were and why I was feeling the way I was. They were as follows:
- Started eating meat again (eggs and chicken) about 2 months ago
- Started consuming dairy in large quantities again about a year ago
- Started eating gluten, yeast, and wheat again (breads) about a year ago
- Stopped working out as often
- Stopped eating so many greens and fiber
I say "Started" because I stopped for years, and the problems came about when I "started" certain things again and thats where the patterns begin and stop. At animal proteins, gluten, yeast, and GMO's. Acidic foods. I can definitely rule out the "its all mental" part of it all because I was actually convinced that I was fine. Then BAM. Facing the possibility of death again on a Friday afternoon. Food is SO important and what you put in your body is so crucial. Animal proteins are extremely hard for your body to process and if you're ingesting acidic foods you create mucus which is the root to all disease and illness. Which ALL animal proteins, gluten, processed foods, and more are highly acidic. Bacteria, viruses and cancerous cells cannot survive in an alkalized environment. So if you alkalize the body, you just went from a rent-a-cop immune system to Area 51 files type of immune system. Thats high security if you didn't get the point. If you aren't welcomed, you die type shit. And its done completely natural and with FOODS. No pills, symptoms, side affects, gross tasting cough syrups, no addictions or weening off of anything because if you stop cold turkey you'll go into withdrawals, none of that. Thats the beautiful thing about nature. But when you go against that and start feeding your body what its not meant to consume, it will start to bog down like its not supposed to if its healthy. Right?
Alkaline foods and herbal medicines can kick the nastiest diseases. Its recorded to have reversed cancer, and none of it is a coincidence. All cancer patients have an extremely low (acidic) blood pH level. I WONDER WHY?! So if you can't put two and two together, then I don't know what to tell you. But this can go for a common cold, stomach issues, UTI's, headaches, whatever... The following is what I did for my kidneys and do when I start to feel a bit off and it helps 100% of the time. I make a large Pot of Potion (highly nutrient vegetable soup) with alkaline rich vegetables and add 1-2 different kind of grains for substance/protein, drink large amounts of activated charcoal alkaline water, drop all animal proteins, dairy and breads from my diet, and last but not least, binge on Seamoss (Seamoss Bladderwrack) and this is available through Dr. Sebi's website. It contains 92 of the 102 minerals your body is made of. So its like drinking more of you when you're not feeling 100% yourself.
WHY DO YOU FEEL THIS WAY?
You're feeling like shit in most cases because you're body is missing an abundance of a certain protein or mineral. You're either intaking too many toxins, or not enough nutrient rich substances and you're malnourished. And both is really bad, and in most cases people do both unknowingly (no bueno). So people replace the actual issue with a temporary solution because they're uneducated about their own body, which means its followed by a visit and a prescription your doctor told you to take. But what is the real issue here? Your body is telling you "Bitch! Feed me in this area where it hurts! Because it sucks when you don't care about me and feed me chalky ass pills all day. I need real help :( "
SO GIVE YOUR BODY SOME LOVE! And obviously the best way to receive nutrients and minerals is to consume them naturally. Your body will know exactly what to do. Its built to know, so trust your body. It may not happen right away, but it will happen with consistency and have stronger, better, and longer lasting results in the long run. But you must have discipline and be willing to give certain things up for your health and comfortability. And most aren't willing to do that. So its up to you.
WHY YOU SHOULD DO IT?
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force them to drink.
I want to give you the recipe to this magical soup and herbal remedy that I use to jumpstart a cleanse and then what I do to follow up and to continue this healthy lifestyle. I want you all to know that this is how I lived for years before I truly realized what wonders it could do for me. I felt great, but before than I never really felt bad. Because when you're young, you don't know what "bad" feels like. I never had any real health issues before, and I was living a life that I kind of fell into. It wasn't by choices that I made independently if that makes sense. I was influenced and went with the flow. Because thats what 20 year olds do. So, I feel like I learned the knowledge for a time later in life where I would actually appreciate it and apply it without being told to. And thats exactly what happened. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force them to drink. Meaning, I was lead to the lifestyle, tried it, liked it, but didn't fully understand why it would work for me right now and at that very moment. And until I was thirsty for the lifestyle and wanted to consume the benefits, I wouldn't until I was ready to drink. That time has come.
And if you're ready for the lifestyle change and commitment, then I empower you to do your research on Dr. Sebi and watch his videos. Read his books, his literature. Carry out the legacy of a wonderful human being who was taken from us too early and see why he was such a legend and how he healed so many people. He also has a full blown nutritional guide that you can follow for ultimate results and easy thinking. It isn't rocket science, but its information you should know because as the beholder of a human vessel, you have the right to know.

THE RECIPE & THE PROCESS
Pot of Potion (Vegetable Soup)
- Prep by cutting vegetables before water is at a boil
- Start off with a large soup pot, half water and half organic vegetable broth. Bring to boil.
- Add grains (wild rice, quinoa, garbanzo beans, etc.): I used wild rice this time around
- Bring to a simmer, and add all vegetables. I added: butternut squash, chives, red and white onion, green bell pepper, LOTS of cilantro, a bundle of kale, cherry tomatoes, fresh ginger, tomatillos and fresh lime juice (about 3 limes)
- Add spices. I added: fresh basil, oregano, cayenne pepper, onion powder, chili flakes, cumin, pink salt, turmeric, and fresh thyme
- Cover and let boil until grains are fully cooked. By then, everything else will have been absorbed and softened & ready to eat
- Serve with fresh avocado and cucumber. I recommend 1-3 bowls of this before you sleep.
I then drank half before and half after of a bottle of activated charcoal alkaline water. This water is absolutely unreal. It cleanses you from the inside out and takes out heavy metals and toxins. It purifies the blood and helps circulate fresh oxygen throughout your body. And it helps balance your body pH. Highly recommended when on a detox and cleansing routine.
As I let my food digest, I took Oil of Oregano (cut with olive oil to dilute it) and rubbed it into the bottoms of my feet. This helps extract toxins and and kick the shit out of any viruses, bacteria or nasty organisms in the body trying to attack your immune system. Its natures little antibiotic. After about 5-7 minutes on each foot, I threw some socks on and continued to drink water. Add some chlorophyll into your water as well to help purify the blood, deodorize your insides, and aid in rebuilding your blood cell count (especially after that time of the month, ladies.)
I relaxed and got some GOOD SLEEP. Sleep is so important in the healing and cleansing process. When I woke up, I drank MORE water, ate a banana with almond butter for a jump start and sustaining energy, a fresh sweet green juice, and by the afternoon, threw back a couple shots of seamoss. I promise, you will be feeling superhuman by this time. For lunch, eat leftover soup if possible and DO NOT microwave it. Reheat it in a pot to help keep the nutrients and minerals rich and alive.
I learned how important the quality of the fuel you put in your body is of utter importance. There are a lot of myths out there on what foods to eat according to your blood type, gender, fucking zodiac sign, I don't know. But there are a lot of observations and theories, but for me, all I know is iv tried it all and the only thing that has helped me and made me feel 100% amazing every single day, no headaches, no aesthetic issues such as pimples or wrinkles, decaying teeth or gaining weight, no stomach issues which is HUGE for me because I had an open ulcer in my stomach for YEARS before I knew about this method of healing, and so much more is the Alkaline food method of medicine and has made the most sense. My personal issue though, was the fact that iv been having issues arise for a while and I ignored them. Headaches and brushing them off as my hair being too tight or me looking at my computer too long and the problem persisted even after eliminating the issues I blamed it on, stomach problems, no energy, weight gain, personal female complications, my menstrual cycle being absolutely HORRIBLE and painful, my focus and drive depleting, all of it was affected. And I ignored it until it was borderline "too late" for me. That wont be the case with other people though. Most don't know how to read their bodies and they rely on an outside source that was told from a book what they should know about the human body and what could possibly fix the issue that gives you the fate of either life or death for you. I suggest you learn your body and log in a journal how you feel and what you think about every day. Get familiar with, You. And learn how to fix your problems without waiting for someone to tell you what you should be doing and then give you some bullshit pill that won't actually help you in the long run, but keep you sick. Planet Earth was equipped with weapons and natural medicine to heal the human body. Go back to the basics and use what it has to offer. It won't fail you, I promise.
I am committing myself to a strict health food intake and physical regimen from this point on. I deserve more than "food like products" and empty, poisonous substances. And so are you.
At the end of the day, I want everyone to feel amazing and at their greatest potential, but please know this is NOT medical advice. This is from personal experience and advice passed on from highly knowledgable sources and experience. No chemicals are involved and it is all FOOD and LOVE! But please make sure your primary health care physician is okay with you ingesting the said foods and herbs safely. If its a go, then lets get green! <3 Thank you guys for reading and I hope you truly use this knowledge to your benefit.
Love and Light, Chey xo
