Man, its been a while since Iv been able to do a recipe post! I will be doing an update on my living situation and such as well so you all know what iv been up to. But for now, I whipped up this small dish for myself and I thought it was perfect. Cheap, extremely easy, a quick turn around and enough left over for tomorrow (if you're eating alone that is haha)!
You will need to go to Trader Joes. Pick up ONE bag of Penne Arrabbiata in the frozen section. To make things even easier, a bag of frozen green beans (or fresh if you don't mind the prep time), and some sourdough bread.
Put them all in pans on the stovetop at the same time to make things move faster for yourself. I like Med-Hi heat, just keep an eye on it. Put a dash of spring water into both so moisten things up a bit, and stir occasionally. I seasoned my green beans with salt and pepper and a dash of lemon. And I seasoned my Penne with fresh herbs from my mini herb tree! (Which I also got at trader joes for $5!) And finished it with a dash of lemon and parmesan cheese for taste.
Toast the bread, slice it, and slap some butter/garlic/salt/basil & oregano on it. And you're all done!
Great for on the go, super simple, and believe it or not, its organic (other than the bread). Takes about 10 minutes! I spent less than $10 on the entire meal.
