10. The Catacombs
This movie is a psychological thriller starring Shannyn Sossamon and Alecia Moore aka Pink. Playing as sisters in the movie, the ever so vivid and popular girl Pink living in Paris invites her not so vivid and high anxiety, pill popping sister to Paris for a so called vacation get away. Yeah. A vacation gone WAY WAY WAY wrong.
9. Nothing Left To Fear
Ok, so this one I'm being a little biased due to the fact that this movie was written and directed by Slash from Guns n Roses, but other than that its actually an interesting, original, and awesomely scary plot. If your religious, I wouldn't recommend this movie to you. Check out the trailer below! Enjoy ;)
8. The Conjuring
This movie was a huge hit with me! Im a huge fan of Ed and Lorraine Warren, known for the Ammityville Horror case, and I highly anticipated this movies release. Plus, this movie was based on a true story that actually happened. Just imagine, if you think this movie was scary, in real life it is a million times scarier. Ed and Lorraine Warren are world renowned paranormal investigators. This is a based on a case they have never released to the public due to its horrific nature. Recommended for the ghost buffs!
7. The Exorcist
I know, I know. Its SO cliche to have this in a list of the top horror flicks. But let me explain why its in mine. The Exorcist is a movie based on a true story, though the movie itself doesn't really reenact the events that took place in the actual case. Other than it not only being a well made movie, it was one of the most brave, ballsy, and absolutely terrifying films for its time. You have to remember that 40 years ago, movies like this never hit the big screen. And for a reason. It was an outrage! People were seen running out vomiting due to the gruesome scenes and idea that this movie was based on something REAL. People were seen fainting in the theaters and leaving early regardless of the money spent. But for me, this movie is a great message to those that dont know better. Dont fuck with Ouija boards.
6. The Machinist
Christian Bale better have gotten paid a pretty penny to do this film. He looked the part and played the part well, as always. And it was totally worth it. This film is the psychological thriller of the century. It'll definitely make you squirm when you have to pull your next all-nighter. But dont worry. According to this movie, you have to pull a year worth of all-nighters to be considered a maniac.
5. Donnie Darko
Seriously one of the creepiest movies, ever. Starring Brokeback Mountain's Jake Gyllenhaal, and co-starring Patrick Swayze and Drew Barrymore. With a mixture of possible ghosts, demons, aliens and/or scientific explanations, this movie takes you for a ride to Mind Fuck Park. A classic for a reason!
4. The Girl Next Door
Based on a true story, by the middle of this film your going to wish that to be false. There is nothing pretty about this movie, and if your squeamish I dont recommend this movie. You dont see much, but if you have a vivid imagination like I do, you feel every second as if you were there. Good luck.

3. The Strangers
So this movie made me actually have nightmares when it came out in 2008. Its a very real life situation and it didnt help that this movie was actually based on true events. A couple on a mini vacation in the middle of nowhere with a turn of events that includes uninvited guests. And if you guessed it right, yes, its absolutely a getaway gone VERY VERY wrong. A well made movie that will have you locking your doors and checking them twice and you still wont be able to sleep tight. Thank me later!
2. The Fourth Kind
I personally love this movie because of how difficult it was to decipher whether it was fake or real. That is what I call a well made movie, because it not only tricked everyone, but it spooked the HELL out of people, regardless if a skeptic. I low key felt bad for the businesses in Nome, Alaska after this film was released. I know a hell of a lot of people left and didnt visit thats for sure. Though, this film is also based on true events. Alien abductions are no joke, man. And this film shows you why.
Ok, so my number one. Seriously. Honestly. I swear on everything. One of the most disturbing, disgusting, horrifying movies of our time. Not so much entertaining, but if your like me and appreciate things that can actually make you cringe, look away, clench your teeth, gag, and shiver, this my friends is the Holy Grail of all 'cringe and gag' worthy films of all time. Seriously, I do not recommend this movie to anyone.
